Bond 2016 Community Meetings
Learn about the Bond program! SAISD facilities staff, including project managers, architects and school leaders were on hand to talk about the Bond program and the exciting changes coming to each campus.
Jefferson High School
Sept. 12, 2018 | 6 p.m.
Student Union Building – Next to Cafeteria
Jefferson’s meeting was held in conjunction with the campus JELC meeting. The community learned of the plans for construction, much of which includes foundation and roof work.
Sept. 14, 2018 | 5:30 p.m.
The community gathered to learn about the scope of work, including relocating the library to the first floor and a full upgrade to the kitchen and cafeteria.
Tafolla Middle School
Sept. 19, 2018 | 6 p.m.
Bond work at Tafolla includes a complete renovation of the three story classroom wing and administration offices, library and life skills area.
J.T. Brackenridge Elementary
Sept. 20, 2018 | 4:30 p.m.
The community asked questions regarding changing the address of the school, and about increasing the security around the front of the school along Guadalupe Street.
Burbank High School
Sept. 20, 2018 | 6 p.m.
The community believes Burbank’s IB World School status is important in the branding, and the Bond 2016 program will help reflect that. Mural restoration is also important.
Lanier High School
Sept. 25, 2018 | 6:30 p.m.
Among the community feedback, the bad practice pad and mural restoration were important.
Edison High School

The fine arts and dance studio areas were a priority to the community.
Davis Middle School

Cafeteria @ Sam Houston High School
Added windows and lighting, as well as front entry modifications for security are among the changes that the community will see at Davis Middle School.
Sam Houston High School

The bad practice pad was important to the community. Sam Houston will also see updates to its auditorium and a new softball practice field.
Rogers Middle School
Oct. 10, 2018 | 5 p.m.
Rogers Middle School’s new three story academic wing, new art and music spaces, and renovated kitchen are improvements the community will see with the Bond 2016 program.
Fox Tech High School
Oct. 11, 2018 | 5:30 p.m.
Senior Dining Room
The Fox Tech community is excited to offer feedback about the food service area moving to the first floor. The District is working on a master plan for the campus that will accommodate the three campuses at Fox Tech (Fox Tech HS, the Advanced Learning Academy at Fox Tech, and CAST Tech). The Bond 2016 program is considered phase one because of the work.

Among improvements at Bowden are windows for the classrooms and new front entry security measures.
Brackenridge High School

The scope of work at Brackenridge includes renovations and additions to the main academic building. The community was excited about expanded classrooms to meet SAISD and statewide standards.
